Coronavirus Update
Education Resources – Guidance
Health Protection Scotland – 3 March 2020
The World Health Organization (WHO) and Health Protection Scotland have recently warned of the potential impact of the coronavirus and of the preventative steps to be taken to try to contain the virus and keep people healthy.
The Local Authority have today provided an update for all educational establishments and settings, which has been received from Health Protection Scotland.
A copy of the guidance is found at the link below:

Our aim is to try and provide re-assurance around the precautionary measures which we have been asked to undertake. You may also wish to note the Council’s Emergency planning team are taking advice from the Scottish Government, Director of Public Health (NHS), emergency services and other partners to update contingency plans.
The current advice is for schools, businesses and organisations to continue operating as normally as possible, however it is recognised that schools and childcare settings are potentially different and this will continue to be monitored.
As always, in line with our protocols we ask anyone with specific health related questions to contact their GP/NHS 24.
