Rosie R (S6) is Scotland’s National Articulation Winner for 2024.
The competition engages students aged between 16-19 in full-time education, with art, regardless of background or experience, and develops their confidence and ability to express their opinions, thoughts and conclusions.
She faced strong competition from across the country to deliver a 10-minute winning presentation at Stirling University on November 6th. Rosie delivered a PowerPoint-enhanced educational and entertaining talk on John Byrne’s Self-portrait in a flowered jacket.
This prize, administered by the National Galleries, aims to develop oral and critical-thinking skills, the confidence to speak in front of others, and art analysis, whilst also introducing students to art-related careers.
The event was adjudicated by Dr Catriona McAra, lecturer in Modern and Contemporary Art History at the University of Aberdeen.
Rosie was fabulous and a well-deserved winner.
