Consultation Evenings 2021-2022 (S2)

This session consultation evenings will take place via video call using an online platform called School Cloud. This will provide the opportunity for parents/carers to discuss their child’s progress and meet their class teachers virtually.

The S2 Consultation Evening will take place on Tuesday 1st March 2022, 4:30-6:30pm.

Information specific to this evening will be issued via letter. Please access the resources below to familiarise yourself with this system.



The Broad General Education begins in early learning and childcare (at age 3) and continues to the end of S3 (the third year of secondary school). Its purpose is to develop the knowledge, skills, attributes and capabilities of the four capacities of Curriculum for Excellence:
  • Successful learners
  • Confident individuals
  • Responsible citizens
  • Effective contributors

It is designed to provide the breadth and depth of education to develop flexible and adaptable young people with the knowledge and skills they will need to thrive now and in the future. It aims to support young people in achieving and attaining the best they possibly can.

Pupils following Broad General Education courses in S1 and S2 can refine their current subjects through options at the end of S2.

Useful information for pupils in S2:

 S3 Electives (08-06-2021)

As part of the S3 curriculum, all pupils will complete 3 electives. Each elective is approximately 12 weeks long and is delivered in a double period each week. The electives provide an opportunity for you to develop important skills needed for the world of work including teamwork, communication, problem solving and creativity.

Pupils should complete the Google Form in their year group Google Classroom to make their choices for S3.
