This year’s John Hastie Museum Trust exhibition, ‘Education in Avondale’ is up and running at The Granary Building of Strathaven Town Mill. Academy pupils from the History department have been taking part in workshops and looking at memorabilia and historical artefacts on show at the exhibition. Strathaven Academy has provided many items from the archives and pupils from Mr Wellcoat’s Art and Design class have produced drawings and paintings to create a special banner spelling – ‘Education’. The show is open Monday to Saturday (10am-5pm) and Sunday (2pm-5pm) until 23rd June, and will be open at weekends thereafter until 13th August. (See photos below)
